about

In terms of instrumentation, this refined piece reflects the important role of the dialogue between the piano and the string quartet. This is the only piece of the album for which Leoza and the musicians performed in the same room throughout the recording. Composed during a stay at the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity in 2018, the piece, originally on the piano, depicts the ups and downs of fusional encounters. The piano (which one can imagine as the archangel) is alone at the beginning of the piece, then slowly the strings (the angels) begin to enter. The piece evolves slowly with the melodious arrangement of the four voices of the string ensemble. Bright, but a little nostalgic, this hopeful piece is without a doubt the most personal of the album.
